“Concept”: the new frontier of DIY audio

At the self-Audio Builders contest, that took place in Torre San Vincenzo (Italy) on 30 and 31 March, the “Concept” system was presented, out of competition, which represents the new frontier of self-construction of hi-fi reproduction systems. It uses high-efficiency professional and CAR Audio speakers, driven by digital amplifiers and crossovers, all technologies that are rarely found in the hi-end environment, and certainly never all together.

In this interview, by Federico Rocchi, Francesco Sorino, former ESB designer and former editor of AUDIOreview, explains the philosophy of the project and the functioning of the various components.
